I seem to remember that the French think the Quebecois accent sucks. She probably speaks it better than the drone who rejected her. Her one chapter in English was about English language journals.

(42,649 posts)I speak what we call le français acadien, meaning Acadian French. It differs mainly in pronunciation, but we do have certain words of our own.
And yes, it can be difficult to understand. A friend of mine is Haitian, educated in France, and he tells me that he finds it difficult to follow conversation.
