So, all of a sudden, my desktop mouse

For my iMac opens a window? Or like a spotlight window when I try to drag or access the keyboard. I type this on my iPhone as we speak.

I have tried restarting. Unplugging. The mouse works for like 10 seconds and then…the spotlight windows…or finder windows. I can’t drag or type.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated

Is it a wireless mouse? The battery might be dying. Ocelot II Aug 2024 #1

It’s wired. Maybe I need a new one. Or to connect my old Magic Mouse

it was not the mouse at fault.
It was the keyboard.

Someone was inadvertently touching a trackpad, causing bizarre results.

I was using a wired mouse. Forgot why I stopped.

Got a magic mouse, and the horizontal scroll is almost always helpful, (as is the vertical)

except for those times that it messes up my tracking in some image editing, which tends to be critical.

I lessened my "tracing" worries by using "remove background"

It exists on Ventura and newer OS macs in the right-click/control-click drop down menu when you click on an image's icon.
Under "Quick Actions". It's in a sub-menu, so it's not obvious.
