my ipad wont connect to charger.

i cant seem to get my ipad to connect to the charger. i’ve cleaned the contacts, tried different cords, different chargers, but no ping.
any thoughts? i do have a laptop i can hotspot to my phone, but i only have so many hotspot minutes. plus all my stored passwords r on the pad.
help!

this has been chronic. i was using alcohol and a tooth brush. but i just tried a little rubber dental pic and it woke up. i just hope it stays up.
i will grab a can of air, tho.

my house is pretty dusty w 2 hairy dogs and a yard that is mostly dirt.

eta my level of panic about this is just 😢

3. Try getting a third party wireless charging case.

Once your sure it has a good contact withe the port you can charge it with a charging pad.

4. Are you using a non-Apple charging cable or block?

When I do, they work fine for awhile, then start going intermittently wonky. I have found a couple that are better than a lot of the off brand ones, and as a bonus they come in a 3-pk.

mostly use a power strip, but i plugged into the wall to see.

8. I have to insert the charging cable, then force the connector upward, then put something under the connector to keep

the charging indicator lit. It's an old Ipad, but still works well otherwise.

11. I just got a new otter case for the iphone. It has a flap that keeps dust and dirt out of the lightning connector.

I do like to wirelessly charge it, though.
