How can I find all the folders ending in temp on my Windows system?
I have Agent Ransack, but I only know how to use it for file names, not folder names.

Search for *.temp. Star is a wildcard in dos/ windows

(21,758 posts)> This PC ---> Right click on LOCAL DISK C: -----> You will see GENERAL and then,
You will see PROPERTIES.
Right click on that.
The temp files will show-up you can opt to delete them from there (disk clean-up).
You can also opt to view the temporary files but don't delete them first!

(4,853 posts)The search term would be: *temp
I'm assuming that you want that term in the name literally.
You'll get the folders and files that way; just sort the results by file type to corral the folders in one place.
If you want to see only folders, I think the search term would do it: *temp NOT *.*
The file name setting on the right should be set to 'dos expressions'.)
One important setting check: go to the attribute tab to the right of the main tab. Click 'use attributes'. Then click the arrow by folder option to select its setting and choose 'on'. That will cause the folder items to appear in the results. (The default setting is 'off'.)
(I use file locator pro, which is the pay version of ransack.)
