Canon printer: blue WiFi light is on, but PC can't find printer on the network.

My Canon printer is connected to my router via WiFi. The WLAN setting is Active, and the blue WiFi light is on.

My Windows 10 computer is attached to the router via ethernet.

Up until a month ago, I could print from the PC to the Canon printer. Now, the PC says the printer is "not connected." If I try to print, I get and error that the printer can't be found.

The printer's Network Config Page identifes the correct WiFi network. The PC is connected to "Network 5," which I presume is the name of the LAN between it and the router. I've been looking into other various settings, and I've rebooted everything (hoping that power-cycling the printer might help), but no progress.

Any idea what could be the problem, or what else I might check?

All at the same time. Restarted PC, then router, then printer.

I also meant to note in my OP that the SSID the printer is connected to is, say, "Bob-Wifi," whereas the LAN name the PC is connected to is "Network 5." The PC is not connected directly to the WiFi because it is not WiFi capable; that's why it must be connected to the router over the ethernet LAN to find the printer.

Something must have changed. Try (ugh) re-configuring the printer.

That usually takes lots of button pushes with a tiny fake keypad on the printer.

I personally gave up on wireless for that reason and hooked an Ethernet cable to the router. You might also try a usb cable to the router or computer.

Devices on the same LAN (wired or wireless) find it. I think the computer acts as a bridge. YMMV.

Plugging a computer to it via ethernet or usb may make it show up in your browser. If so, use the web admin panel with (presumably) the default admin password.

Found my answer!

"Confirm that the printer is set to the proper port. ... Network-connected Canon printers should be set to CNBJNP under Port and Canon BJ Network Port under Description."

I don't know how it got changed, but my PC was trying to print to port LPT1.
