Canadian company unearths 2,492-carat diamond in Botswana - CTV News

Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi joked about ‘owning CNN’ while displaying a 2,492-carat diamond recently unearthed from a mine.

A person holds a 2,492-carat diamond which was found in the country and on show, in Gaborone, Botswana, Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024.

mining in Canada, being that Canada has become over the last 40 or 50 years a large diamond/etc. mining region in the world.

I wonder what the powers that be have planned for this diamond? It's going to take some planning etc., in order to determine how to cut the diamond in multiple chunks.
