Kendleton to hold special election to choose new mayor
The city of Kendleton will hold a special election in August to elect a new mayor.
The winning candidate will serve until May 2026 when former Mayor Darryl Humphrey's term was to expire.
Humphrey was removed from office last month after he was convicted of a crime.
Some Kendleton residents have been led to believe that Humphrey's guilty plea was simply political theater and that he had done nothing illegal.
