(11,926 posts)wanna predict when it will crash? Because it almost surely will at some point. And will the orange slime be as ruthless to them as he was to Arkansas a couple of weeks ago, when he told the Governess to "solve the problem herself"?

(6 posts)Texas ranks first in the nation for wind power generation, second for solar power generation, second in the nation for battery storage.
Wind and solar energy produced 31% of the states electricity in 2023.

(853 posts)Texas is at the top for wind energy and very close to the top for solar. Thank you for the enlightenment. Then, what in the hell is the problem? The grid? No storage capacity?
Is it largely under the control of the Texas gov't.? If there are enough homeowners with solar panels and a storage system there shouldn't be a huge problem.
For the record, I will continue to bash Texas at every opportunity, more specifically, the politicians and the voters that put them there, period.
But, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Now I need to know why energy in Texas is such a problem.
