Community grieves slain Uber driver Tahirou Diallo and his lasting impact
Police arrested Kane Roden for the murder of Uber driver Tahirou Diallo in North Richland Hills.

On Wednesday, North Richland Hills Police said Diallo gave a ride to 30-year-old Kane Roden. Multiple videos from neighbors showed Diallo driving Roden down the 8000 block of Mickey Street just before midnight.

According to witnesses, Roden got out of the passenger side, walked around the back of the car to the driver’s side, and fatally shot Diallo.

“Right now, you see everybody heartbroken because nobody was expecting this,” said Ibrahima Bah, Diallo’s nephew.

Police arrested Roden, who they said had two outstanding charges for violence against a family and violation of a bond/protective order. He is now charged with murder in Diallo’s death.

The family has a GoFundMe to send Diallo’s body back home to Guinea in West Africa.
