Celina ISD's tax rate set for November ballot
Celina ISD’s tax rate of $1.2358 will be on the November 5 ballot, as the district looks to increase the maintenance and operations rate.
The district states the additional funds from the increased maintenance and operations rate would provide an estimated $1.85 million annually to fund teacher salaries, safety enhancements and improve course offerings.
According to district data, the maintenance and operations rate would rise to $0.7869 from $0.7358. The debt services rate would fall to $0.4489 from the current rate of $0.50.
The district states the increased maintenance and operation rate will result in a 37.64% jump in maintenance and operations revenue for the district – estimating an additional $10.53 million.
