Deadline to request a mail ballot is 4 p.m. Tuesday

Want to vote by mail in the Nov. 5 state and federal elections?

It’s not too late, yet. Rhode Island registered voters have until 4 p.m. Tuesday to request a mail ballot, which is available online through the Rhode Island Department of State.

Those who miss the deadline can also request an emergency mail ballot from their local boards of canvassers, according to a reminder from the Department of State’s office. Mail ballots must be received no later than 8 p.m. on Nov. 5 to be included in the final count.

For those who want a piece of the in-person voting experience, early voting starts on Wednesday, Oct. 16, continuing till 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.
