Erie County Council Nominee (R) Dies. Why She'll Still Be On the Ballot.
“The Republican nominee for Erie County Council’s 2nd District seat, Renee Vendetti, has died. Because the Erie County Board of Elections had already approved the final ballot on Oct. 2 — and printing began shortly afterward — Vendetti’s name will remain on the ballot as the Republican nominee in accordance with state law.”
