Lane County urges early ballot returns for November election

EUGENE, Ore. - Lane County voters are encouraged to return their ballots early to ensure they are received by the 8 p.m. deadline on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

According to Lane County Elections, ballots must be submitted via a 24/7 drop box, regular mail postmarked by Nov. 4, or directly to the Lane County Elections Office by the deadline.

“Vote by mail makes it easy and convenient to return your ballot,” said County Clerk Tommy Gong. “And the more voters who return their ballots early, the more complete our initial election night results will be.”

Voters must sign their ballot return envelopes, as signatures are verified against voter registration records. If a signature is missing or doesn't match, Lane County Elections will notify voters, who have 21 days after the election to correct the issue.
