Election day lunch in Lafayette benefits cancer fight
LAFAYETTE — The Lafayette Methodist Church will host an Election Day lunch from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the church, located at 204 W. Main St., Lafayette.
The menu includes chili or soup, shredded chicken or hot dog sandwiches, a salad bar, dessert and drink.
Donations will be accepted and will go directly to Deanna Looney, a 2007 graduate of Allen East High School and the single mother of a 14-year-old. Looney is undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer and will undergo her first major surgery next month.
