Tax issues: Which Cuyahoga County cities and schools are asking for increases in the November election?

CLEVELAND, Ohio — There are several issues on the Nov. 4 ballot in Cuyahoga County, but only a handful of cities and school districts are approaching voters with hopes of securing additional funding.

Parma City Schools is making a third attempt to pass a levy for operating expenses, while Highland Heights is hoping to get additional money for police, fire and EMS services.

Early voting has begun in the election, which includes Cleveland and suburban mayors, city councils, judges, school boards and issues, from charter changes to tax increases.
