Couldn't agree more. And yes, I'll be voting on Tuesday.

....
The Republican strategy has been driven by President Barack Obamas unpopularity, and tying Hagan to her president. Obamas job approval rating in the state is a poor 42 percent.
The Democratic strategy has been to tie Tillis to the unpopular Republican legislature, of which he was a leader. The legislatures approval rating is a dismal 25 percent.
....
Of the 20 statewide independent polls made public since the beginning of September, Tillis has led in only one, according to the website Real Clear Politics. The candidates were tied in three polls.
....
With a race this close, turnout means everything. Turnout drops off during midterm elections. That is good news for Republicans because lower turnout usually helps their candidate. The good news for Democrats is they are leading in early voting.

(3,977 posts)1. Because we keep buying into the meme that 42% all think he should be replaced by a Republican
It's complete and utter bullshit.
As described on another recent thread here , at least 17% points disapprove because they think he is not Liberal enough.

(3,977 posts)3. Key sentence in this article...
"Obamas job approval rating in the state is a poor 42 percent. "
That consists of 25% , being republican..and
17% who think he isn't liberal enough, not that he should be replaced by a Republican , or should be run away from if Democratic candidate.
