North Carolina
Related: About this forumMy wife, daughter and I went to the NC State Fair in Raleigh. Interesting to look at the political
stickers worn by some of the people (each party had a display in one of the buildings where they gave away stickers)
We were there for 5 hours - and our three "Proud Democrat" stickers on our shirts were the only three I saw worn all day - the Republican stickers worn numbered in the hundreds. Of course, there are lots of reasons (the demographic that tends to attend the fair, the current state of politics here) - but...wow.
After 5 miles of walking (and passing up the twix-stuffed twinkie wrapped in bacon and deep fried, as well as the deep fried Ho Hos and Krispy Kreme sugar donut hambuger), I am as tired and out of it as I can remember! (the two roller coasters that I went on with my daughter were fun!).

(31,834 posts)one Kay Hagan sign--not one--anywhere along Highway 24 after we got off 40 to Highway 58
across the bridge to the island. Nothing but Tillis signs everywhere. Sure, it's Republican country,
but you think there would be a Hagan sign here and there.
It really is going to depend on turnout from the big Dem strongholds.

(60,395 posts)North Raleigh usually has at least a bit of a mix, but for these midterms, it is a sea of signs for the bad guys..really depressing to see. The "Fire Hagan" signs are particularly tough to see.

(42,631 posts)the heavy stuff. Didn't mean to offend, didn't realize stuff was so popular. What the heck.~ Glad you stood up for Dems. wearing your shirts! I've been following the brave resistance in No. Carolina, hope Kay Hagan wins. Here in Va. we're vulnerable too. Even Wisc., Mich. in 4 yrs. Have a Fun, Happy Fall! *I'm new to DU*
