The North Carolina General Assembly is rushing through a series of Constitutional amendments, including two that would place permanent caps on local and state government revenues. If you approve them in November, these amendments will kneecap the state’s ability to provide effective, high-quality services, compete with big corporations, and protect citizens from robber barons.

My home state has changed so much that I doubt I would recognize it anymore.

I do know that I may never set foot in my home state again, thanks to their repressive and greed-induced insanity, and the people there just don't seem interested enough to do anything about it.

I guess I will go have a good cry now. I miss my home state terribly, but even a fool stops touching the stove after a few burns.
