'Dangerous' social media posts spark concern in Durham ahead of Election Day

Leaders in Durham are sounding the alarm about political rhetoric they believe could incite violence.

Social media posts have alluded to the guillotine and placed candidates' faces on Wanted posters.

Election Day is next Tuesday, Nov. 4.

It is Durham Mayor Pro Tem Mark-Anthony Middleton's third election, and he says it's been the most toxic by far, with otherization as an issue.
