Humble suggestion for how to spend the New York State issued inflation refund check.
The New York State inflation refund checks are beginning to be sent out.
Mine is welcomed, and I appreciate what our governor is doing, but for me it won't be the difference between eating and not eating.
So as the SNAP benefits dry up and people are being furloughed and laid off, I'll be looking for a food bank donation opportunity. I know the local Stop and Shop had a Fill-a-truck program, which I believe is over now. But there are a few food banks in the area, so I guess I'll just pick one and hand the money over. It's money I didn't expect, so I won't miss it.
