Murphy, Delgado-Polanco to speak at state party meeting

Gov. Phil Murphy will share the podium this month with his embattled New Jersey Schools Development Authority CEO Lizette Delgado-Polanco at a meeting of the Democratic State Committee.

This is Murphy’s first public appearance with Delgado-Polanco since reports that she fired longtime employees and replaced them with friends and family members.

Murphy and Delgado-Polanco are scheduled to speak at the meeting, according to an agenda distributed to state committee members obtained by the New Jersey Globe.

The authority has launched an internal investigation and some members of the Legislature have called for the elimination of the agency entirely.

Delgado-Polanco is the vice chair of the state party, a post she kept after getting a high profile job in the Murphy administration.
