OMAHA, Neb. — Washington County Sheriff Mike Robinson says he won't seek re-election.

Robinson has served with the sheriff's office for 44 years, including more than 24 years as sheriff. His term ends in 2026.

"During my tenure as a sheriff, I strived to provide professional law enforcement to Washington County," he said in a social media post.

Robinson is the longest serving sheriff in county history.
