State of the State Whitmer speech

Awesome start. Reps wouldn’t cheer for preschool for all. She had a zinger, “now I know we come from different directions, but can’t we all get behind supporting 4 year olds in Michigan?”

Really confident and hopeful. Enthusiastic and happy. And yes, gloating a little.

I liked Jennifer Granholm a lot, but she was up against a lunatic GOP controlled state.

Sounds to me like Gretchen is going to take complete advantage of her solid blue legislature and push through as much as she can. I'm especially excited about the possibility of not taxing my piddly ass pension.

Her achievements are off the charts!!!

Took over from a Right Winger. Ushered our state through Covid successfully while facing death threats and a kidnap plot. Got a ton done in the last 4 years in a bipartisan way. And then led Dems to a clean sweep in Michigan and now has 4 years to really get her agenda done.

A+++. Both politically and legislatively she has been near perfect.

I'll bet there are people in other states (Dems) who wish they had someone like her. She even has a surplus!
