God, I really love Michigan.

Yesterday was about as perfect a day as can happen. The air was so clean that it stung my nose and the leaves were stunning in their shininess. This morning was cold, dark and dreadful. I turned the furnace on. This afternoon turned into another perfect day with a lovely breeze that set the leaves to singing. How could you not love this? My best friends moved to Florida a few years ago. They have had the same temperature range, 75-90, for the last 3 months. They love it. Me, I love Michigan's unpredictability and glorious changes. Every morning is exciting to wake up to.

I will take it over Florida’s searing heat and humidity any day.
(sorry, Floridians)
I love the change of seasons and I find beauty in the cold winter. Although winter hangs on a bit too long sometimes ...

But Spring is so glorious when it finally comes. Sometimes in May.

And, we’ll get the searing heat and humidity thing in July for about two weeks, during which time I am about as miserable as can be.

We have relatively mild winters, great spring and fall, usually enough rain, sunshine -well almost as much as we want. Honestly, it really is a 'lovely peninsula'. No, I'm not willing to go into the make up of the citizenship. It needs some work. But in general a really nice place to live.
