Michigan was a hotbed for election-related misinformation: Here are 17 key fact checks

The Detroit Free Press, in partnership with PolitiFact, a nonprofit news organization, fact-checked dozens of claims related to the election last week.

Ahead of the election, misinformation experts said a flood of inaccurate information intended to sow doubt in the legitimacy of the election process and its outcome would follow the election. These predictions panned out, and Michigan has been no stranger to election-related falsehoods seen and shared by thousands of users online.

This is a look at our key fact checks debunking election-related misinformation in the Great Lakes State.
