Horse suffers medical incident, dies while pulling carriage in Frankenmuth


A hose pulling a carriage in Frankenmuth died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 4, after suffering an apparent medical issue while crossing the Holz Brṻcke Covered Bridge, the Frankenmuth Police Department said.

The driver of the carriage was not injured when the horse went down on the city's covered bridge and there were no passengers in the carriage. Police did not identify the carriage company involved.

"Tragically, the horse passed away at the scene," police said.

A vehicle on the bridge suffered minor damage in the incident, but did not strike the carriage. Police did not say how the vehicle was damaged. ................(more)

temp and heat index. If its above these indexes no horses can compete. Plus, during competition they have to be checked by a vet at specific intervals and are pulled from the competition if their heart rate doesn't return to normal within the prescribed number of minutes.

Even if we get rid of the MAGAs we will never advance as a society when animal abuse keeps happening and is excused.
