3 Washtenaw County proposals pass in May 6 election

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI - Votes have been counted and results are in for the proposals on the Tuesday, May 6 ballot in Washtenaw County.

Here is a round-up of what voters passed for the three proposals in Washtenaw County.

Dexter Community Schools can move forward with upgrades to a range of infrastructure and learning spaces after voters green-lit a nearly $242 million bond on Tuesday, May 6.

OK’d by a 3,461-2,681 vote, the measure allows the district to borrow funds over the next three decades, but does not raise taxpayers’ millage rate, keeping what they pay at or below 8.5 mills.
