Bernie Sanders energizes SVSU crowd for Harris-Walz Campaign
A packed ballroom in Curtiss Hall at Saginaw Valley State University saw spectators out to support the Harris-Walz campaign, with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders speaking on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.
Prior to Sanders taking the podium, SVSU Student Body President La'Zaria Bennett-Lewis spoke to the crowd and discussed her experience attending former President Donald Trump's campaign rally.
She said that although she had already made up her mind to vote, she wanted to attend both events to better understand what each campaign's message was.
Bennett-Lewis said she brought a sign in favor of Harris and Walz to that rally but was asked to dispose of it prior to entry. She added that after disposing of her sign, she was eventually asked to leave before Trump spoke.
