Skaggs' statement comes two days after Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel posted a cryptic message on social media praising U.S. national womens soccer team athlete Alex Morgan for how she handled the news that she would not be participating in the Olympics for the first time in years. The post was believed by many Democrats to be a direct reference to calls for Biden to step aside.
I adore Alex Morgan, Nessel wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. One of the greatest of all time. But shes aged significantly from her prime playing days & gracefully accepted that in order to win the gold it was time to pass the baton.
No one will ever forget her incredible accomplishments, Nessel continued. But Alex just wants whats best for the team and for America. Thats what makes her a true champion.

(16,648 posts)It might be time for Skaggs to seriously consider looking for someone younger to take his seat.
The median age for males in Michigan is around 38.5 years, while for females, it is about 41.1 years...it's definitely time for Skaggs to start the process to step down!
Think. Again.

(41,901 posts)serve as a subliminal swipe at President Biden then that makes her a mean girl. It is actually obnoxious. I am disappointed in her.
As for Rep. Skaggs, I have no patience for politicians no one outside of their district, and maybe some inside, never heard of jumping on the look at me bandwagon trying to get noticed while bashing Joe Biden.
The ageism in our culture is a disgrace.
Biden won the primary fair and square. Rep. Skaggs should step down for not supporting the Democratic candidate.
