Maryland Sends Over 660,000 Mail-In Ballots Ahead of November Election

The Maryland State Board of Elections will begin sending mail-in ballots for the 2024 General Election to registered voters who requested them on Friday, September 20.

More than 578,000 ballots will be sent through the mail, while over 91,000 will be delivered electronically. Voters receiving ballots by mail should expect to receive them within five days.

There’s still time for anyone who wants to receive but has not yet requested a mail-in ballot. Requests must be received (not just sent) by Tuesday, October 29, to receive a ballot by mail.

For those opting for web delivery, the deadline to submit the request is Friday, November 1. Additional details are available on the State Board’s mail-in ballot webpage.
