A look at election procedure as questions remain about Newburgh ballots
PORTLAND, Maine — An investigation is underway into how hundreds of blank ballots ended up in an Amazon package in Newburgh.
The Secretary of State's Office has been tight-lipped on the investigation and hasn't answered our questions on how ballots are distributed.
There is a nearly 100-page state document that outlines guidelines and procedures for elections in Maine.
Ballots are delivered to municipalities by commercial shipping and need to be signed for upon delivery.
