Poll workers needed in Missouri, Kansas ahead of November election

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There are just three weeks before Americans head back to the polls and local election offices need your help to make it all happen.

This is a unique time to be an election worker. They deal with threats, but also more people are interested in voting.

“We expect to vote over 300,000 people in person here in Johnson County through advance voting and on election day and each one of them needs to their own service,” Fred Sherman, the election commissioner for Johnson County said.

“The difference in our young and seasoned poll workers is that they don’t work technology as quickly – they’re great, customer service is superb. We need people that deal with technology on a daily basis,” Lauri Ealom the director at the Kansas City Board of Elections said.
