Indianola Mayor Election Dispute
INDIANOLA-A dispute has been brewing this week between mayoral candidates Ken Featherstone and Steve Rosenthal after Mayor Featherstone went live on Facebook, and Rosenthal responding over the city's delinquent audits.
“When I took office in 2022, the last completed audit was done in 2017 under the Rosenthal administration. Ladies and gentlemen, here is the truth about that: Steve Rosenthal went into his last term in all four years and never got an annual audit completed,” said Ken Featherstone, Indianola mayor.
“During the time period that Featherstone is talking about, the city of Indianola has received two clear audits that disprove all of his accusations,” said Steve Rosenthal, Indianola mayoral candidate.
The third mayoral candidate Hollis Myrick commented, calling the attacks “tacky and unprofessional”.
