Absentee ballot request period to open next week
Dubuque County voters can submit a request to receive an absentee ballot for the November general election starting Tuesday, Aug. 27.
The form can be obtained at elections.dubuquecountyiowa.gov under “Absentee Voting.” Voters can complete, print, sign and date this form and mail it to the Election’s Office at PO Box 5001, Dubuque, IA 52004.
Voters completing the form should include either their Iowa driver’s license number or their Iowa non-operator ID number. Voters are urged to include their phone numbers and email addresses so that the election’s office can contact them with questions about their submitted form.
Only one request form is needed per voter. Ballots will not be mailed until Oct. 16. Absentee ballot request forms are due Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. — postmarks do not count.
