● Chicago, IL Mayor: Chicago's Feb. 26 nonpartisan primary is coming up quickly, and with over a dozen candidates on the ballot, it can be extremely tough to get a handle of what all the contenders are for or against. Luckily, the local NPR affiliate WBEZ has come up with a creative way to convey this information. WBEZ sent the candidates a question with 20 specific yes-or-no questions on various issues, and they were given limited space to explain their answers. It's a very useful tool, and one we hope will be utilized in other races across the country...

I think that this would be a good idea for the primary for all of those wanting to be President.

(804 posts)The primary is approaching way too quickly for my liking. So far, I've been less than thrilled by all the candidates so this tool might be useful in helping me make up my mind.

(4,828 posts)about that, she used to come on Benny Jay show on CPT and was always impressive.
Did not hear of her connections to Burke since she was a State rep and Comptroller.
What do you think it is.
I'm troubled with my vote so far, want to hear more before I vote.
My voting booth is at the corner of my block so voting on election day is easy for me.

(72,519 posts)i care about shaping up the fucking cops around here.
mendoza is impressive in a lot of way. she has a ton of energy and did some good stuff at the city.
i guess we will get the rest of the story after the election.
i am waiting till election day. no question on alderman, but still unsettled.
i suspect it will be toni. i can live w that. i think the county has taken great strides, and done many smart things. esp working w dart to get mentally ill out of county jail.
yeah, part of the machine. but still doing a good job. not getting my primary vote, tho.

but it sure is gonna be interesting.
i think there is gonna be a good flushing of this toilet of council.
