(11,929 posts)the book was already on one of our bookshelves. I'd mentioned to my husband I wanted it, and that's when he let me know he already had a copy.

(18,402 posts)held near Northerly Island on Lake Michigan, not the 1893 World Columbian Exposition held in Jackson Park on the South Side (the subject of Devil in the White City).
It's an interesting book, though!
