I grabbed four bags at the store in Kalaupapa on Molokai last May.

They were saltier than the Mexican type sold here in California.

1. - When I was on Oahu one time, the temperature dropped to 58°. It was COLD! The humidity was 90 some %. some of the locals were wearing their winter coats. Looked kind funny, North Dakota style winter coat, shorts and slippers. No gloves.
70° is sort of cool. It can get that way over night sometimes.

5. - Just the street names would do any tourist in. Quick how do you pronounce Kahaone, or Aweoweo, let alone remember them?

8. - I've been there. Best shaved ice on the island. Matsumoto At least compared to the nearby competition.

23. - What pot holes? The have wide, well maintained roads. Just don't forget to pay attention to the road signs.

31. - Oh, yes they have Internet. Works great.

31b. - Well maintained yards. Although the accommodations may be a bit rustic sometimes.

36. - That is how you can usually tell the tourist for the locals. If nothing else, the tourist's slippers are new.
