Bullies can't faze Ben Cayetano

&context=C3764970ADOEgsToPDskLEHieiYtGe0Czf8PqP9AYp

This dinosaur technology will make a mess of Honolulu and bankrupt us when we need to do major infrastructure renovations.

Beyond that, how cool is Ben? He's coming back from retirement as Governor of the state of Hawaii (eight years) and a legislator before that, to save us from a stupid and wasteful debacle.

Imua Ben!

bid low then jack up the cost 3 or 4 times due to "cost overruns".
train cars NOT made in the USA.

Meanwhile the land owning corporations are turning all the farm land into condo projects with impunity and rubber stamping from elected officials.
Next thing you know they will be wanting to put up 40 story condo towers near Ward Center for rail centered population density....oh wait, they already are.

The main good thing I can say about rail in Honolulu is that it would be fabulous from a tourist marketing standpoint - "Let's go to Hawaii and ride the train".
As a quickie tour and half day event riding the train to and from its end points would be a great thing to do and the tourist market would make up a huge proportion of ridership.

Of course the main thing to do here is to...follow the $$$.
