out of season storm drops 4 to 6 inches of rain over most of Oahu overnight

a storm system more typical of january than june soaked the island, even areas that normally stay dry in this kind of storm. happened overnight so caused few problems for people. we needed the rain after a 3 month dry spell.

although this kind of storm is not common it is not unheard of, being in the middle of the sub tropical ocean and occurs every few years or so

meanwhile since everything flushed into the ocean wise people stay out of the water for a day or two.
