Windy enough for you on this Friday afternoon?

Here are some recent peak wind gusts... Many areas gusting over 40 mph, some over 50 mph (Reagan National gusted to 51 mph midday). We expect another poss surge of wind between about 5 and 9p. We've seen a number of trees come down, including one which caused an accident on the Beltway and 3 injuries. Be careful out there.

not 'down' to 16 mph until 9 p.m., then back up to 18, blah blah blah, 'really' down to 12 mph nw @ noon tomorrow (but these are 'official' numbers, not related to reality @ my house!) DO wish I had a wind-o-meter!
