Mesa County Elections Office hosts public tour of ballot verification technology
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -The Mesa County Elections Office hosted a public tour on Tuesday, October 21, allowing community members to see ballot verification technology and learn about election processes.
The tour allowed residents to observe the technology and ask questions about the ballot counting process.
“I learned that our ballots go through an extensive process to make sure that everyone is counted accurately, from advanced technology to being double-checked by multiple people, a chain of custody on each ballot, and auditing of the whole system. I have complete confidence in the integrity of our elections,” said Rob Hunter, tour attendee.
Nearly 30 residents attended the tour, asking questions and expressing concerns about the election process.
