Three seats on Yampa Valley Electric co-op board up for election

hree seats on the board of directors for the nonprofit, member-owned Yampa Valley Electric Association cooperative are up for re-election this spring. Nomination packets for members wanting to run for those director seats are due by April 25.

Board of director nomination packets will be available on the YVEA website and in the YVEA offices starting April 10.

This year, the three seats up for election include: Director Patrick Delaney for District 5, which serves Hayden and the surrounding area; Director Dan LeBlanc for District 7, which is within Steamboat Springs; and Director Steve Booker for District 4, which serves the southern area of Moffat County including south of Craig and west to Maybell and Elk Springs.

Both Booker and Delaney say they plan to run for re-election for their director seats. LeBlanc said he will not run for re-election because his family is moving out of the Steamboat city limits and District 7.
