Election complaints called "racist" against Sikhs tossed in Fresno, CA

The City Attorney’s office in Fresno, CA has closed ethics complaints against two leading candidates in separate city council races, complaints both candidates dismissed as racist, reports the Fresno Bee.

The two candidates are Sikh American. Candidate Nav Gurm is running in District 7 and Naindeep Singh, founder of the Jakarta Movement is running in District 1.

City Attorney Andrew Janz says the complaints came into his office anonymously in the mail without a return address and were dismissed because they were outside his jurisdiction.

A review of the complaint by AsAmNews says that “Naindeep and his fellow Sikhs support terrorism, racism, anti-constitutional, antigovernment policies including illegal immigration, supporting illegals for international driver’s license or non-domicile licenses. Naindeep Singh has collected campaign funds from these drivers, truckers, owner-operators, who are foreign nationals of India and contributed to Naindeep’s election campaign for Fresno City Council, which is against the laws, elections rules and unethical. These people are here, who have filed political asylum on fake and false grounds and don’t have any political problems in India and visit India as soon as their cases are granted.”
