have it in as do the county supervisors or city councels. rent i feel is fixed and price gouging. the developers want to build luxery homes and no basic ones .

Inventory loss is also due to: second homes (including joint ownership LLCs like Pacaso.com), vacation rentals, and corporate retreats.
But let's not confuse NIMBYism with the importance of preserving and protecting open space, scenic vistas, biodiversity, watersheds, recreational areas, wildlife corridors, and ag lands.
Truth? Classic supply and demand. There are too many people in California. Public infrastructurehousing, transportation, water, utilities, educationcan't keep up.
