Advocate launches voter guide to assist Arkansans with November election

The state motto of Arkansas perfectly captures the spirit of democracy. “Regnat Populus,” Latin for “the people rule,” reminds Arkansans that the true power of a democracy lies with its people.

On this Democracy Day, the Advocate is celebrating the launch of a nonpartisan voter guide to provide readers with the tools they need to participate in November’s election. Our voter guide and special Election 2024 page are full of election-related stories, as well as information about candidates and answers to frequently asked questions about the voting process.

We’ll be adding more stories as our election coverage progresses in the coming weeks, but the first step in being able to participate in the democratic process is making sure you’re registered to vote.

The deadline to register this year is Oct. 7. You can obtain a voter registration application from your local county clerk, state revenue office, DMV office, public library, disability agency, military recruitment office or the Arkansas Secretary of State Elections Division. You can also request a form through the mail or print a form here.
