Harvest Moon

Taken this evening at Samuel S. Lewis State Park, York County, PA.

I sat with another photographer waiting for the moonrise. We'd hoped to get a shot of the moon peeking over the ridges in the distance, but it wasn't visible until rising above the dense haze.

Your exposure is spot on! I can see the moon's features quite well.

I just noticed the people with their dog! A charming addition.

The photo's cropped from a wide shot to better feature the moon. You're probably viewing this on your computer monitor, but anyone viewing on a cellphone might need to zoom in for details.

All three humans are looking toward the moon; the doggie's indifferent.

The colors and the mist really make it great. The people walking the dog give the scene some perspective.
Nice!

The haze spoiled getting a dramatic shot of the moon, but I think this has a certain something. I was glad when the group walked into the frame. That made all the difference.
