(6,696 posts)The katydid's antennae were too long to fit the frame! I didn't know I'd missed their tips until viewing the images on my laptop.

Summer's winding down and bright blossoms and green are giving way to dead flowerheads and brown. There's beauty in that transition and the dead season that follows.

(6,696 posts)Overcast skies and mist made for some interesting shots today. Got two new spider species: Gea heptagon orb weaver and a bowl weaver. I'll post later this evening.
