Hibiscus blossom opened this morning

We got pretty cold last night so I brought it inside. I ordered this plant from Amazon. It arrived a few days ago and it looks like it’s gonna be fine.

We even have a great place for it in our flower bed next to the amaryllis.

I have a red one that I put outside during the summer and bring inside during the winter.

Your two-toned blossom is so strikingly beautiful.

It looked like this (don't have it anymore) -

My current one is overwintering in the basement - a "Snow Queen" (variegated green & white leaves with red flowers that have a long pistil). It looks like this -

Love these!

but the weird flower configuration wasn't helping!

I have other stuff for them like a couple honeysuckles and a weigela (that reblooms somewhat later in summer). The Blanche Sandman honeysuckle (a native) is much used! Looks like this -

They manage to do that acrobatics to get their beaks up in those flowers!

Found a pic of one getting up in there -

(it does have a tendency to get powdery mildew and aphids though, which is a PITA but it is semi-evergreen)

they are nice - especially going up and around posts or on a trellis but they can be aggressive growers if they like where they are. Of course the hummers love anything that has tubular flowers like that!

The early migrators will even nectar on lilac blossoms. About a dozen years ago, I finally saw one on my mother's hosta blooms. First time I witnessed that as I was always hearing that they will use hosta flowers. I have some hostas that are late bloomers and have seen a stray here and there go for it when it blooms. Of course salvias are another good one and you should be able to winter over a Salvia Black and Blue (an absolute hummer favorite) in the ground where you are if you mulch it well (it's just that they bloom so late). They will also do tiny tiny tubes like those on pentas and even bee balm (Jacob Cline being a red one that is a fave).

It arrived Saturday. Potted for the patio Sunday. Took this shot Tuesday. It's America's Sweetheart.

For some reason, photo is not posting--or opening-- even though the link has been posted.

On edit: there it is!

for several years and been very satisfied with their material. Most of my annuals that go in pots or planters come from them.

Not even the broken box on the phone, until after a minute or so.

I run Firefox for my laptop, my phone is, I think, Chrome, but I even restarted my phone and got only the broken box..

There has been a problem with Avatars not showing. As I look through this post, even on my laptop, I'm only seeing a broken box for the Avatars of : twodogsbarking; JMCKUSICK; BumRushDaShow;.
