at the end of a dead end street in Chapel Hill. "Into the woods" was the view from the kitchen table when I had dinner with them in December. The lights change color: blue/red/green and I liked the effect of the blue light best.

It was the first big snow of the season so I put my boots on and headed to the park for a short hike. It was early morning and the fresh snow absorbed just about all sound. About the only thing I could hear was the chirping of some sparrows. Then I spotted this beautiful, twisted Birch tree and its shadow. I ended up doing a painting based on this photo too!

As usual, this is going to be a tough one.

I'll be ready with a second entry if called upon!

It's really shaping up to be fantastic.

I am not planning on doing second entries. I'm going to post a plea for a few more original entries from those who haven't posted any yet.
