The surprise in the dill.

In my pollinator garden I have dill that I let go to flower for the caterpillars.







Oh, my. What's that?



Look at that face! Those eyes!












The wind was blowing, and I was swaying back and forth with the dill plant to get a photo.

The tiny little jumping spider is about the size of a ladybug.

They are so cute. I hope they do not mess up that beautiful crop of Dill you have there.

On Edit, I did see that it was for the caterpillers and I should have put 2 and 2 together. Wonderful.

2. It's there for the insects to eat. My herb garden is better protected.

He's adorable. Going to try for better photos of him tomorrow. He lives on the dill now.

10. Oh I love them too

but most of the spiders I see are in the horse barn and mostly almost as big as my fist, well almost anyway. I keep thinking of that little spider that was made into a video star with the adorable voice to go along with their very cute faces. I will enjoy them when you post.

11. We have some big ones here, too. Really big. I do so love the little jumping spiders. Their faces have such character.

Good catch! It's difficult taking photos under windy conditions.

And the dill looks like it's doing really well! Nothing like fresh dill.

16. The dill is beautiful. It really is. I feel almost guilty about giving it to the insects.

I have other dill growing for my use but, I don't know, it doesn't seem the same because it's in a small greenhouse. Not wild and free, I guess. Silly, I know.

I was thrilled by the little spider. He's still there this morning. Probably bug him again for photos.
